The feature film "Transylvania" was presented Thursday, October 12, at the Capitole Cinema in Ghent, in the presence of its director, Tony Gatlif, and one of the film’s lead actors, Birol Unel.
This preview screening was organized by the film’s distributor Imagine Film Distribution along with the Flanders International Film Festival, and with support from Unifrance, and serves to promote this director’s latest offering to Flemish audiences. French films suffer from underexposure in this non-French-speaking region of Belgium, which generates 49% of national annual movie admissions. In addition to this event, Unifrance has joined forces with the CNC to provide active support to the release of French films offered by Belgian distributors.
"Transylvania" will hit the screens November 22 throughout the Belgian territory, with 7 prints subtitled in Dutch.
