"The Taste of Others" continues its triumphant run on the international circuit, currently making its mark in Scandinavia.
Since it hit Swedish screens on April 6, "The Taste of Others" (released under the title "I Andras Ögoni") has already pulled in more than 25,000 spectators in the country. The film by Agnès Jaoui has received a seldom-seen unanimous stamp of approval from the Swedish press, earning high praise all round.
To keep up with the outstanding demand for the film in theaters, its distributor, FolketsBio, went on to release an additional 5 prints (on top of the 3 prints in circulation at the time of the film's launch). So, two months after its release in two art-house theaters in the Swedish capital, "The Taste of Others" is now showing in three theaters, two of which are multiplexes. The film is now well on its way to enjoying continuing success in Stockholm and the provinces.
"The Taste of Others" was released in Norway at the end of March (distributed by Arthaus), also putting over a fine performance, with close to 10,000 admissions to its credit.
The film will be released in Denmark in the fall, distributed by Camera Film.
