Unifrance, German Films and the Académie Franco-Allemande du Cinéma are organizing, on November 20 and 21 Franco-German Film Meetings, in partnership with the CNC and the FFA Filmförderungsanstalt, BKM, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Arte GEIE, ARTE France, OFAJ (Office Franco-Allemand pour la Jeunesse), and Institut Français d'Allemagne. The event is also supported by the PROCIREP, Cofiloisirs, Atelier Network, and Forum Alentours.
More than 200 players from the Franco-German film and audiovisual industry will gather to take part in this 22nd edition in Berlin, within the walls of the Alte Münze, on Wednesday, November 20 and Thursday, November 21.
In keeping with tradition, the Franco-German Film Meetings will once again offer participants the opportunity to attend panels, keynotes, and case studies on current industry topics, as well as a host of convivial events.
This year's event will focus on the following themes in particular:
- Combining art and commerce, between creative integrity and brand placement
- Worldwide distribution strategies to win over audiences
- Case study of the Franco-German co-production Langue étrangère (Foreign Language)
- Intellectual property issues
- The impact of AI on the film and audiovisual industry
- The fate of series: from the golden age of television to streaming platforms. What's next?
The event will be punctuated by festive moments, including lunch hosted by Cofiloisirs and the opening dinner hosted by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg on November 20 at the Alte Münze.
Echoing the 21st edition, which was held in conjunction with the German Film Festival in Paris, this year's Franco-German Meetings will introduce the German French Film Week at the Delphi-Filmpalast in Berlin.
For the third year running, and in partnership with OFAJ-DFJW, the PREMIÈRE program will enable a delegation of German and French students to attend the entire Franco-German Film Meetings program, and take part in an exclusive encounter with French and German professionals.
