To coincide with the opening of the Cannes Film Festival, Atout France and UniFrance are launching a series of three video clips that highlight France as a travel destination in a selection of some of the most stunning sequences from contemporary French films, presented under the title "Love French films? Now live them!"
French films are making a big impact in international theaters at this time. France is now the world's second biggest film exporter, and two thirds of French films produced are exported to at least one international market. The success of our films also benefits France as a travel destination, as these films serve as powerful vectors of the country's image, reputation, and attractiveness for travelers.
With this in mind, UniFrance and Atout France have put together three videos that offer a selection of excerpts from recent French films, with the aim, on one side, of raising the international profile of French cinema in the highly influential sphere of tourism, and, on the other, of promoting France as a travel destination to influential personalities in the international movie industry.
Titled "Love French films? Now live them!" these clips are an open invitation to experience France "just like in the movies." They are divided into three themes:
- French "Art de Vivre": An invitation to share in the art of living à la française that is so popular with visitors to France from all over the world. (Watch the video below)
- French Romance: A distillation of love French-style, a subject that has always been an endless source of inspiration for great French film directors.
- French Excellence: An opportunity to discover French fine arts and elegance.
These new videos serve as key promotional and communications tools for France as a travel destination. They will be screened at events at which Atout France and UniFrance participate, such as trade fairs, film festivals, film markets, and all operations aimed at reaching the general public and society influencers.
