The director of Divines, winner of the Caméra d'Or at Cannes in 2016, has joined the Directors' Jury for the 9th edition of MyFrenchFilmFestival!
French film director and screenwriter, Houda Benyamina initially trained as an actor. She then branched into directing and first attracted attention with her short film Ma poubelle géante in 2008, which was selected for several film festivals.
In 2011, she gained a certain notoriety with her mid-length feature Sur la route du paradis, which received awards at the Tangier Mediterranean Short Film Festival and the Dubai International Film Festival.
Her debut feature, Divines, picked up the Caméra d’Or at Cannes, followed by the French César Award for Best First Film.
She is currently preparing her second feature, Pour Assia.
