This is the figure for box office takings at Lincoln Center, in dollars, up to Day 5 of the Rendez-Vous event—which only lasts for 12 days. It includes ticket presales, and is equivalent to around 8,000 admissions. The Walter Reade Theater is packed to the doors at virtually every screening: regular festival visitors, movie buffs, and Francophiles (mostly Americans), for whom this location just a stone's throw from Central Park is like a second home. Note that popcorn is also available: movie-enthusiasts, for sure, but also American.
