In partnership with the Agency for French Education Abroad (L'Agence pour l'Enseignement Français à l'Etranger, AEFE), MyFrenchFilmFestival is organizing a competition for the best film review aimed at high school students at schools belonging to the AEFE network.
For this competition, school students will write their own reviews of films included in this year's festival selection and post them on the festival's website. The review that obtains the largest number of votes will be declared winner of the competition. The film will be awarded the AEFE Critics' Prize and the writer of the review will win accreditation at one of the film festivals organized by Unifrance abroad.
In parallel with this competition, a second competition for film reviews will be held specifically in classes that have opted for Elective Film Studies at participating high schools. In addition to studying the films in the festival selection over one semester, students will be invited to write a film review. The reviews will be judged by a jury of movie industry professionals, who will elect the winning review.
