French films honored at Clermont-Ferrand
The world's biggest short film festival closed its doors Sunday, February 7, with this year's awards list giving French productions unanimous applause.
Two French films won awards in the national competition at the 37th Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival:
- Ton cœur au hasard by Aude Léa Rapin (photo), a medium-length film running 39 minutes, picked up the Grand Prize, the ADAMI Prize for Best Performance by an Actress for Julie Chevallier, and a Special Mention from the Jury, which gave the film its unanimous approval.
- Guy Moquet by Demis Herenger was awarded the Special Jury Prize and the Audience Prize.
French cinema was also honored in the international competition:
- Father by Lotfi Achour, a Franco-Tunisian co-production, won the Audience Award and a Special Mention from the Jury.
In addition to these awards, Takami Productions won the PROCIREP Prize for a Producer for Aïssa by Clément Tréhin-Lalanne.
