Barely a week into its release in Belgium, Superchondriac proves once again that France's close neighbors in the North are very fond of Dany Boon.
With more than 100,000 admissions in a mere 6 days, Superchondriac has achieved the best launch in Belgium for a French films since Houba! On the Trail of the Marsupilami, which in 2012 registered 118,000 spectators during its opening week (with 260,000 by the end of its run).
Dany Boon's latest film's opening week results are, it must be said, inferior to the performances by Welcome to the Land of Ch'tis (125,000 in its first week - 1.15 million by the end of its career) and Nothing to Declare (255,000 in its first week - 948,000 by the end of its career), but both these did films achieve quite remarkable results. It is worth noting that all these titles have been distributed in Belgium by Alternative Films.
