Organized by UniFrance Films and German Films, Franco-German Film Meetings will be held in Nancy on November 26 and 27.
Five debates, a workshop exploring film financing and backing, and a co-production market will punctuate the 11th edition of these two days of meetings between professionals and representatives of both countries.
The Lescure Report on Cultural Exception in France (in the presence of Pierre Lescure), and media chronology, Day & Date releasing, Cinema Communication and the European Commission, the involvement of public television in the production and distribution of European films: all the sector's current hot topics will be central to the 11th Franco-German Film Meetings.
The debate moderators will be: Peter Dinges, FFA Director, Philippe Carcassonne, producer, Frédérique Bredin, CNC President, Alfred Hürmer, Franco-German Film Meetings Association President and producer, and Jean-Paul Salomé, film director and President of Unifrance.
On Wednesday November 27, during the workshop, seventeen established producers will meet with seventeen novice producers to offer artistic advice. To be eligible, all the novice producers must have a co-production project underway.
