Synopsis
Karl Sanchez, better known by his drag queen name Nicky Doll, travels to Brazil and South Africa to meet people who embrace their differences with pride. Skin color, body type, disability, gender identity: the series explores diversity in all its forms. Whether artists, athletes, or activists, they have all turned their uniqueness into a true source of strength.
Through stories of resilience, little-known traditions, and the fight for equality, Karl explores the human and cultural richness of each country. As he meets people along the way, he is welcomed into their homes, shares in their daily lives, samples local specialties, discovers unique customs, and tries his hand at new experiences. Each journey concludes on a festive and symbolic note: a colorful performance in which Karl, in the guise of Nicky Doll and surrounded by his hosts, celebrates difference as a collective and universal strength.
