Synopsis
In the XIIth century, violent confrontations broke out in the Languedoc region of southern France where the Roman Catholic Church persecuted the followers of what it considered a sect: the Cathars or Albigeois. The conflict lasted more than 35 years, and was marked by unprecedented violence and massacres. Claude Laporte returns to the scene where the Albigeois lived the end of the “Cathar heresy”.
