Synopsis
Archaeologists discover a town from Higher Egypt in the Nile’s delta. The sun, with its play of light and shadow, brings it alive again, as the stones were originally cut so that the sun would make the hieroglyphs stand out in relief. The ancients built canals to bring water to the middle of this desert to fertilise the arid soil; these days, and for some years now, few poor farmers are trying to do the same with almost no money.
