Synopsis
The countryside scorches beneath the summer sun and twelve-year-old Cadie is bored. She leaves her mother glued to the television to go and hang out with her pal Sarah. Alone in nature, the two girls make a blood pledge to sisterhood. A kiss ends the ceremony, during which Cadie experiences an unexpected feverishness. The ritual is interrupted by two neighboring boys.
