Synopsis
In the working-class district of Treichville, Abidjan, the association of young drum revellers - «la goumbé des jeunes noceurs» - assembles for spectacular displays of modern song and dance. The participants include former villagers who have come to try their luck in the city. They hope to preserve rural traditions and ensure mutual help and solidarity by means of the wooden goumbe drum. The association’s general secretary acts as our guide.
