Biography
A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure, Sciences Po Paris, and the École Nationale d’Administration (ENA), Maud Bailly is an Inspector of Finance. After four years at the French General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF), where she carried out multiple audit and advisory missions both in France and internationally (for the World Bank, the UN, and the IMF), she chose to join SNCF in 2011 to gain operational management experience. For six months, she worked on the ground in various roles across the railway sector, obtained her safety certification, and was then appointed Director of Paris Montparnasse Station. After several years as Station Director and Deputy Director of the TGV product, she became Director of Trains in 2014, overseeing the business line of 10,000 train conductors and 3,000 station agents.
In May 2015, she was appointed Head of the Economic and Digital Division in the French Prime Minister’s Office (Matignon), a role she held until December 2016. There, she was responsible for overseeing budgetary and fiscal matters, industrial affairs and public enterprises, the banking and insurance sectors, macroeconomic issues, and digital and data policy. Following a mission for the IGF on the economic and industrial challenges of connected vehicles, she joined the Accor group in April 2017 as Chief Digital Officer and member of the Executive Committee. She was in charge of digital, IT, data, customer experience, sales, and distribution, supporting the group's transformation — notably designing the new ALL loyalty program and digital ecosystem.
In October 2020, she became CEO of Southern Europe and member of the Executive Committee, overseeing the operational management of 1,900 hotels across seven countries (France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Malta, Greece, and Israel). She was responsible for business performance, owner relations, customer experience in the field, and defending the industry's interests during the critical COVID crisis.
