Biography
Céline Léger is an associate professor and doctor of nineteenth-century French literature and a specialist in the relationship between literature, history, and the press. Her research has focused on Vallès, the Commune (1871) and exile and the return from exile (1848-1885). She is the author of a large number of articles and papers on these subjects, which she has also treated for Arte and France Culture. She has just published the book resulting from her thesis: Jules Vallès, la fabrique médiatique de l'événement (1857-1870). She recently trained in and tried her hand at screenwriting and directing. Thus the dream of a film about her author and her favorite period, still non-existent in cinema, took shape.
