Biography
Since launching her Deadline Hollywood website in March 2006, Nikki Finke "has earned a reputation as the best connected reporter in the industry,” according to
the Financial Times. Her journalism career has included years as an AP foreign correspondent in Moscow and London, Newsweek correspondent in Washington, D.C.
and Los Angeles, and Los Angeles Times staff writer covering entertainment and features. From 1995 through 2000, she was West Coast Editor and Hollywood columnist first for the New York Observer and then for New York Magazine. In 2002, Finke joined LA Weekly and began her website as the 24/7 version of her must-read print column about the business, politics and culture of the infotainment industry. She
immediately became a uniquely candid and authoritative source for breaking news in the entertainment industry and won many major entertainment reporting awards, both online and print. In June 2009, the Los Angeles-based Penske Media Corp acquired Finke's Deadline Hollywood site and began a long-term partnership with her. Finke remains General Manager, Editor in Chief, and Founder of Deadline Hollywood and has grown the site with staff and offices in Los Angeles and New York plus
correspondents in England, France, and Australia. Finke recently added the title of Editorial Adviser at Penske Media Corp.
