Synopsis
Geppetto, a poor Italian carpenter, carves a puppet, which cries. laughs and speaks like a child, out of a piece of wood. He calls the marionette Pinocchio and loves him like the son he's never had. Unruly and quick to lie, Pinocchio finds himself embroiled in many adventures: he encounters Mangiafuoco, the marionette theater director; the Fox and the Cat, who turn out not to be the good friends they pretend they are; he leaves for the Land of Toys, a wonderful place where school doesn't exist. Because this little puppet hates work, takes no notice of good advice, and adores making mishchief. Luckily the Fairy with Turquoise Hair keeps a close watch over him.
