The Light Thief

The Light Thief

A Feature film by Aktan Arym Kubat

Produced by ASAP Films

Release in France : 02/03/2011

    Synopsis

The hero of this film is an electrician. His role with those around him goes way beyond the requirements of his job. He is the last link in a totalitarian system and becomes the person who makes the connection between the geopolitical problems of the post-Soviet world and the people.

The country's disastrous economic state produces an enormous impact on the workers. Despite the crisis, they've never stopped loving each other, suffering, cultivating and appreciating life... In particular our electrician, a kind of resistance fighter, who has an open and wonderful heart. He not only brings electricity (which is often cut off) to the inhabitants of the small village, but also the light of love, of loyalty, of life, and above all, laughter.
