MyFrenchFilmFestival returns in 2021 for its 11th edition

There's just one month to go before the festival opens: watch the stunning teaser for MyFrenchFilmFestival 2021 directed by Julie Caty.

In the four corners of the globe, we know you are waiting excitedly: MyFrenchFilmFestival will be back in 2021 to bring you the best of new generation French-language cinema online!

From January 15 through February 15, 2021, you will have the chance to discover, from the comfort of your own home, more than 30 films (features and shorts) that have been handpicked just for you! Comedies, romcoms, dramas, documentaries, animations, cinema classics, VR works, films for young audiences... we will shine a light on all the genres representing the diversity of French-language cinema.

The complete program for the festival and the names of the international jury members will be revealed on January 5. We are eagerly awaiting sharing this with you!

Julie Caty is a French animation director. In her films, she allows a lush, poetic, psychotropic, and reflexive pop-punk universe unfold. Her latest film, Normal, was selected for the 2020 UniFrance Short Film Award.

About the teaser: “Even though MyFrenchFilmFestival didn’t wait for this strange pandemic episode in order to propose an online festival, I thought above all about movie theaters and wanted to pay tribute to them through this teaser. Because we all know how much we miss this collective and individual experience that is cinema! By exploiting the cliché, I’m directing spectators from all over the world, and inviting them to gather on the red seats of a laptop cinema as if to say ‘From the four corners of the world, let’s go to the cinema together! From the four corners of the world, let’s share this generous and curious selection of French-language films!’” — Julie Caty

And, for Advent calendar enthusiasts, join us on Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok to discover new animated images every day and hints about what awaits you in the upcoming festival.

So, take care of yourselves and long live cinema!
