Ekran is a film and television magazine published by the Slovenian Cinematheque. It features reviews and analysis of mainstream and art-house filmmaking from Slovenia and around the world, providing a general overview of both the contemporary world film production and the recent developments in the film industry. Established in 1962, Ekran is by far the most relevant Slovene film magazine of all time and also the one with the longest tradition in the region. Throughout its history it has been a home for many generations of Slovene film critics; it has also been open towards foreign writers. It is published on a bi-monthly basis. Since 2009, the Editor in Chief is Gorazd Trušnovec.
