Sandrine dreams of becoming a singer in Paris. At the moment, she works in a cut-price clothes shop and lives in a crummy hotel, watched over attentively by Ahmed, the night porter. She meets Gerald, an ex-boyfriend of her brother. Gerald persuades her to move in with him. An impossible love affair begins. Gérald manipulates Sandrine in order to live out his fantasies through her. He initiates her into prostitution, brings her to the clients and waits for her. Sandrine secretly takes up again with Ahmed, who loves her. Gérald can tell she is slipping away from him and gradually loses his cool. One night he sneaks into the home of one of their clients...

"We're hooked on "The Acapulco Rock". A real-fake couple, sex and love in a free, cutting film by Laurent Tuel. (...) You could call it "Cassavetes meets "The Night of the Living Dead". (...) In this debut feature, frisky as the eel under the rock, there is a freedom, crazy and disturbing like all good freedoms are..."
(Gérard Lefort - Libération)
