Virginie Wagon has directed numerous short films, winning prizes in French and international film festivals such as Clermont-Ferrand, Grenoble, Lille, Montecatini and Locarno. She co-wrote the screenplays for two of Erick Zonca's films, "The Dreamlife of Angels" and "The Little Thief." "Le Secret" is her first feature film. It won her the Michel d'Ornano Prize at the Deauville Festival of American Film, and was presented at the 2000 Cannes International Film Festival (Directors' Fortnight).
