Tuesday, March 2 marks the second day of the EFM and with it comes relatively clear skies and a slight rise in temperature, reaching a decidely spring-like 16 degrees.

Nicolas Maury at the European Shooting Stars

Actor and director Nicolas Maury, discovered by the general public in Call My Agent and whose first film in the director's chair, My Best Part, received the label Cannes 2020, is among this year's European Shooting Stars, organized by European Film Promotion (EFP), and which for the past ten years has been showcasing emerging European acting talent. All ten European Shooting Stars participated in an online program from February 23 through 25 to meet the press, professionals, and public ahead of the virtual edition of the EFM. Nicolas Maury gave all his interviews from UniFrance's offices.

The rest of the 2021 European Shooting Stars selection is composed of: Seidi Haarla (Finland), Albrecht Schuch (German), Natasa Stork (Hungary), Fionn O’Shea (Ireland), Žygimantė Elena Jakštaitė (Lithuania), Martijn Lakemeier (The Netherlands), Sara Klimoska (North Macedonia), Alba Baptista (Portugal), and Gustav Lindh (Sweden).


Enter the Ultimate French Cinema Blind Test

You have until March 3 at 6 p.m. (Paris time: UTC+1) to guess the titles of 50 French films from a collection of excerpts of musical scores and lines of dialog, and perhaps even get the highest score in the Ultimate French Cinema Blind Test organized by UniFrance during the EFM.
