Once again this year, the ColCoa, Tribeca, and San Francisco Film Festivals follow one after the other in April and May.
This series of festivals provides an opportunity for a host of French actors, directors, and producers to present their films to audiences on the east and west coast of the USA.
The French delegation at ColCoa will bring together Jean-Pierre Améris (The Man Who Laughs), Stéphane Brizé (A Few Hours of Spring), Etienne Comar (producer of Saveurs du Palais), Jean-Pierre Darroussin and Anna Novion (Rendez vous à Kiruna), Lou de Laâge and Daniéle Thompson (It Happened in Saint-Tropez), Ziad Doueiri (The Attack), Philippe Godeau (11.6), Philippe Le Guay, Lambert Wilson, and Anne Dominique Toussaint (Cycling with Moliere), and Serge Toubiana from the Cinémathéque Française.
The Tribeca Film Festival will present five French films: Just a Sigh in the official competition, screened in the presence of Jérôme Bonnell, Emmanuelle Devos, and Edouard Weill; Cycling with Moliere in the spotlight section, screened in the presence of Philippe Le Guay, Lambert Wilson, and Anne-Dominique Toussaint; and Les Saveurs du Palais. Mobius will be showcased in a special screening held in the presence of Cécile de France and Eric Rochant, while Dark Touch is included in the midnight screening in the presence of Marina de Van and Patrick Sobelman.
The San Francisco International Film Festival will feature Ernest & Celestine, screened in the presence of Benjamin Renner, as well as screenings of Populaire, in the presence of Régis Roinsard, Jeunesse by Justine Malle, Fatal Assistance by Raoul Peck, Night Across the Street by Raoul Ruiz, Les Nuits avec Théodore by Sébastien Betbeder, The Pirogue by Moussa Touré, After May by Olivier Assayas, and Thérése Desqueyroux by Claude Miller.
