Unifrance takes French films around the world – August 2008
A review of the month of August 2008.
This month, Unifrance provided assistance for the presentation of 68 films and the attendance of 63 artists at 4 feature film festivals: the Locarno International Film Festival, the Haugesund International Film Festival, the Montreal World Film Festival, and the Venice International Film Festival.
In August, Unifrance also assisted the presentation of 58 films and the attendance of 8 artists at 5 short film festivals: the Locarno International Film Festival, the Nenzing Alpinale Film Festival, the Hiroshima International Animated Film Festival, the Montreal World Film Festival, and the Odense Film Festival.

Unifrance provided support for the release of 3 films in foreign markets by providing travel assistance to 4 artists:
Philippe Claudel for the release of Il y a longtemps que je t’aime (I've Loved You So Long) in Spain.
Barbet Schroeder and Benoît Magimel for the release of Inju, la bête de l’ombre (Inju) in Belgium.
Rémi Bezançon for the release of Le Premier jour du reste de ta vie (The First Day of the Rest of Your Life) in Belgium.
