At the close of its 7th week on Belgian screens, the film by Dany Boon (released in English as Welcome to the Sticks and Welcome to the Land of Shtis) is holding firm at the top of the box office, smashing records set by Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra, which attracted 843,000 spectators.
 
On the strength of stable admissions figures and enthusiastic word-of-mouth publicity, the film’s Belgian distributor Alternative Films is confident that results will soon cross the million spectators mark.
