Unifrance provided support to 21 actors and directors attending the 22nd Namur International Francophone Film Festival, an annual event held in Belgium.
The festival jury, led by director Manuel Poirier, gave the Golden Bayard for Best Film to Continental, a Film Without Guns by the Quebec filmmaker Stéphane LaFleur.
Elle s'appelle Sabine by Sandrine Bonnaire received the Jury Special Prize.
Cécile de France and Samir Guesmi were voted Best Actors, for Où est la main de l'homme sans tête by Guillaume and Stéphane Malandrin, and Andalucia by Alain Gomis, respectively.
The Golden Bayard for Best Screenplay went to Le Fils de l'épicier by Eric Guirado, while Faro by Salif Traoré picked up the award for Best First Film.
