French films selected and awarded at the Rome Independent Film Festival

For its 15th edition, the Rome Independent Film Festival, which traditionally took place in May, shifted its dates to the end of November. No less than 11 French films (shorts and features combined) were selected.

The RIFF 2016 was thus an occasion to rediscover strong titles already noticed at this year's edition of the Festival de Cannes, such as La Jeune Fille sans mains by Sébastien Laudenbach, Limbo by Konstantina Kotzamani, and Léthé by Dea Kulumbegashvili. But this year, the French films were characterized by the diversity of genres. Documentary, animation fiction: all categories were represented.
