Cinanima Festival 2015: A rich harvest of French films

The Espinho International Animated Film Festival (Cinanima) in Portugal closed its doors on November 15, with a string of French productions among the award winners.

Sunday Lunch by Céline Devaux (photo) continues its successful festival run, picking up the award for Best Short Film between 2 and 24 minutes, while In Deep Waters by Sarah Van Den Boom and Yùl and the Snake by Gabriel Harel both received Special Mentions.

Sous tes doigts by Marie-Christine Courtès was also honored at this major international event for the animated film sector with the Special Prize from the Jury, another win for its producer Vivement Lundi ! And last but not least, Counting Sheep by Frits Standaert won the Audience Award. This charming animation full of humor was produced by Arnaud Demuynck for Les Films du Nord.
