Unifrance.org gets a new look!

UniFrance films is launching its new website today, designed to adapt to today's changing usage habits and multi-platform viewing: unifrance.org

Fully updated usability

Now serving close to half a million visitors each month, the UniFrance website has upgraded its information system and its new internet platform.

With excellent visibility and a high ranking on search engines—and constantly offering more content—unifrance.org has rapidly proved itself to be a highly appreciated resource for movie industry professionals thanks to the high quality of its services and the information it shares on a daily basis (such as monitoring box office results for French films abroad, customized alerts sent to our members, and our professional directory that facilitates making contact in the industry). What's more, our website has also become a key reference tool for French film enthusiasts around the world.

A responsive web design

The launch of this new 100% Responsive Web Design (RWD) platform dedicated to French cinema around the world is the fruit of one year of the combined efforts of UniFrance films, upian. (graphic project), and Open wide (longstanding provider of the UniFrance films information system).

For practical purposes and to respond to new constraints related to new modes of web usage (multi-platform viewing habits) the website display adapts automatically to the device being used. Whether you are using a cell phone, tablet, phablet, laptop, desktop, widescreen, or other device, you can now take full advantage of the totality of the content available on our website.

Unifrance.org is built around a rich database

UniFrance films offers a unique and extremely comprehensive database—which is constantly being updated—relating to French films (feature films and shorts) and professionals working in the movie industry in France and abroad.

Key figures about our database:

  • Over 100,000 files on individuals
  • Over 10,000 files on companies operating in the movie industry
  • Over 15,000 files on French feature films
  • Over 10,000 files on French short films
  • Over 3,000 files on film festivals and events

New features on unifrance.org: Google Analytics of French cinema

The graphic upgrade of unifrance.org gave us an opportunity to completely rethink the access we provide to our members relating to box office data and the distribution and broadcast details for French films in international markets.

By giving priority to the systematic use of graphics with filters to replace charts, the new modules used to monitor French films' box office results in international theaters are now equipped with a control panel resembling a "Google analytics" system for French cinema, which our members will be able to use as a reporting tool, according to their own needs.

Coming soon...

Far from stopping here with this new revamped version of our website, UniFrance films will continue to develop new services and content to provide via the web to industry professionals and the general public, with new innovations to include offering web users the possibility of signing up to the website, subscribing to our newsletters, and other customized push notifications to enable them to follow all the latest information about their favorite films, actors, directors, companies, and festivals.

Variations of the website will also be available soon in the form of mobile applications, offered through the iOS, Android, and Windows Phone stores.
