Review of "A Town Called Panic: The Christmas Log" by Eduardo Mórlan

Eduardo Morlan has been a member of the Social Networks Jury since the first edition of the festival. This year, in celebration of the festival's 5th anniversary, we have given him carte blanche to review the short films in competition.

Today's review:

A Town Called Panic: The Christmas Log

France

2013.

Dir.: Vincent Patar and Stéphane Aubier

Color, 25'.
Rating: 3/5

A thoroughly detailed and extensive work as well as a homage to period animation films, “A Town Called Panic: The Christmas Log” succeeds in this field but fails trying to get closer to kids. Anyway, the picture should not be missed because of its technical perfection and the way adults will reminisce their childhood seeing a story which will move them.
