Synopsis
This film transports us into a state of reverie as we sail from West to East along a painted cloth into a world of textiles and metaphysics. Penelope and Ulysses lead us to Ghandi and the endless sari of Queen Draupadi, as we discover that Penelope and Draupadi are two icons representing the same archetype of womanhood. The songs of Indian weavers set the tempo of scenes of weaving as, reaching from one world to the other, the Odyssey and the Mahabharata echo each other and reveal their universal dimension.
