gets a new look !
During a family meal, thirty-year-old Cédric, who still lives at home with his parents. learns that his sister is expecting a baby. While everyone rejoices upon hearing this new, in Cédric it provokes a feeling that will turn into rage. He then attempts to prove to everyone the damage he believes he's always suffered. Between things left unsaid and paranoia, rebellion and pretence, how far is a family prepared to go to preserve its equilibrium?
If we imagined that the cup-and-ball toy remplaced the bike, nothing could stop us thinking of a Belgian version of Shining.
Remarkably sharp dialog (...), meticulous mise en scène and impressive performances from Nathalie Baye and Thomas Blanchard.
LE NOUVEL OBSERVATEUR
Wicked and harrowing just the way you like it.
This strange and masterful debut feature, whose director Antoine Cuypers has given a Festen kind of look, draws its power from the head-on confrontation between Nathalie Baye and the young Thomas Blanchard, both of whom are impeccable.
