Synopsis
In Cherbourg, the prison sits in the heart of the city like a black box. Seven inmates write a letter to an addressee – so far away, so close. From the time of the word to that of the written word, making its way to the outside through personal imagination, the letter is in turn a key, a love document, and a singular self-portrait in the other person's mirror.
