Synopsis

In 1066, William of Normandy is about to embark for his conquest of England. His right hand man, Wilhem tells William's son the story of the Conqueror's youth: He was eight when he learned of his father's death, Robert, Duke of Normandy. Protected by his guardian Osbern, and aided by Osbern's son Wilhem, William will have to fight against Renulf of Bessin and the Normand barons who are leaguing against him. His entire youth he will fight for his legitimacy.
All these hardships will help “the bastard” become the conqueror we all know today.
The final confrontation will take place at the “Val-ès-Dunes” battle, that will finally turn little William into the undisputed Duke of Normandy.
