At twenty-five. Jean-Michel,a youngblack artist from New York, Has known everything too soon or too quickly: success, money and drogues. But this life is no longer making him happy. At the occassion of an exhibition of his paintings and tp forget the death of a close fried, he travels to the Ivory Coast with the hope of seeing an old friend, Watt , who is also an artist.

But in Abidjan, Jean-Michel's trip takes the form of an initiatory journey. For a long time he feels possessed by spirits which he tries to push away. Will Africa offer him his therapy?
