Twenty-year-old Neige and her son Louis live with Neige's dominating grandmother Héloïse in a remote farm in the middle of nowhere. This shut-off life generates various desires, fantasies, and fears. Neige has a lot of fear when, lost in a nightmare, she sets out to find Death, who has taken her son from her. As a counterpoint, she cultivates a codependent relationship with Louis, whose father has been left behind in Neige's troubled past.
When Neige invites herself to the nuptials of the oldest son of the Bénarieux, rich landowners, she is far from imaging that Héloïse is waiting for her, worried and shattered.
