    Synopsis

In spite of the opposition shown by her mother, with whom she has been living in Geneva, Jill follows her boy-friend Dirk to Paris...perhaps because she wants to test her feelings for Fabio, a young stage producer whi is the lover of her friend Carla, and because she has no desire to break up this pair. In Paris, Jill soon gets fed up with Dirk. She becomes a mannequin, then a cover-girl and in no time at all is being wooed by the film industry. Her film career is rapid and dazzling... now she is a star arrounded by fluttering make-up girls, secretaries, technicians, journalistes, and... Maxim, who produces her films. But before long, Jill feels hemmed in stifled - a slave to her own success. No longer can she enjoy any "private life" : it has been torn away by a combination and absolute hell which soon drives her to a nervous breakdown. Accompanied by her secretary, Jill returns to Switzerland, hoping to find asylum with Carla and Fabio but they have separated. Jills finds Fabio alone ; a love affair begins between them. For a while their life is sheltered from the world and people, and they can beleive that happiness is theirs at last...
