Violette lives in the middle of the countryside with her parents, rich farm owners, in Picardy. Gabriel works the checkout at a supermarket. There is nothing about either of them that makes them stand out from the crowd. However, they are both suffocated by their daily lives and each hide dark secrets. As the seasons pass, with their uncertain and fortuitous encounters, both will try to free themselves from what hinders them: their path will be unpredictable and the solutions radical.
