gets a new look !
In 2001, during the final day of the G8 meeting in Genoa, a few minutes before midnight, more than 300 police officers took Diaz school by storm, looking for Black Bloc activists. Ninety activists, most of whom were students, accompanied by a few foreign journalists, were inside the building, getting ready to settle down for the night. When the police burst in, the young demonstrators put their hands in the air, surrending. Unperturbed and implacable, the police waded in with incredible violence, striking whoever came within their reach, young and old, men and women.
