Aliyah

A Feature film by Elie Wajeman

Produced by 24 Mai Production, Les Films Pelléas

Release in France : 19/09/2012

    Synopsis

Paris, 2011. Alex is twenty-seven years old. He makes a living selling dope and pays off the debts incurred by his brother Issac, who once supported Alex and who has now become a burden. When Alex's cousin tells him that he's opening a restaurant in Tel Aviv, Alex imagines joining him there and of changing his life at last.
Determined to leave, Alex must first find some money and make Aliyah.
But he must also leave Paris, which he so deeply loves, Esther, his ex-girlfriend, Mathias, his lifelong friend, and Jeanne, whom he has just met.
Caught between making Aliyah, selling drugs, his complicated love life, and a destructive brother, Alex must find his way.
