Today, the informal sector which recovers all the undeclared activities occupies an important place in the world economy. It is a major brake in the development of poor countries. It is nevertheless thanks to this one that survive count of families and communities worldwide.

To limit these insecure jobs, it is indispensable to accompany the workers towards the professionalization, to help them to get organized and to assert their rights.

Albina Ruiz, Bagoré Bathily, Seri Youlou and Thomas Granier contribute to give to the recyclers of Peru, to the Fulani shepherds of Senegal and to the masons of Burkina Faso, the means to live from their work.


French-Quebecois coproduction was piloted by RDI and Ushuaïa Télévision, Artisans du changement is a documentary series which presents the pioneers of the development in every corner of the world.
