At the beginning of the first Intifada, four young Israelis - Tomer, Aki, Iliya, and Isaac - form part of a troop of soldiers sent to Gaza so as "to re-establish order," as their major assures them. War still seems to be a game that will soon end, and then everyone can go home.

But one of the troop's young soldiers is killed when in pursuit of a young Palestinian. Our four protagonists are assigned to a rooftop of a Palestinian household to keep a close watch on the village. They also must find whoever was responsible for their comrade's death and warn the troops of any trouble brewing. Suddenly, they are confronted by the reality of a family that doesn't want to appear like collaborators of the occupying forces and by their own inability to manage a situation that will rapidly complicate their young soldier lives.
