gets a new look !
Jean-Michel Bertrand takes us on a discovery adventure to the lair of the royal eagle. Bertrand began his quest, and the film about it, ten years ago. With him, we wander through Champsaur, a land not so faraway but little known, an enchanting kingdom, bordered by the highest summits of the Southern Alps. The intrepid chamois, indolent marmot, distinguished stoat, black grouse gladiator, and multicolored birds accompany the filmmaker's steps towards the heights. So as not to trouble the incessant ballet of these wild beasts, the man knows how to make himself forgotten to the point of invisibility.
But Jean-Michel Bertrand also shares his daily life with us, the interminable treks, the 50 kilos of film material that he must haul to the top, the lack of comfort, solitude, doubt, freezing nights, and the interminable waiting in the cramped lookout tent.
