Synopsis
Constant, a man of about sixty years, authoritarian and well-to-do, is dying. While he is surrounded with all his close relations, the priest comes to give him the extreme unction. He lets the assembly know that a certain Hubert Plancy is also dying. Constant, after a terrible effort, wakes up. He wishes only one thing: to take his revenge on his enemy by letting Plancy die before him.
