Synopsis
The Zhou's are well known in their village in the depths of China. The father, Zi Zhou, leans on good old traditions, Reign in absolute patriarch on the destiny of the other members of his family. Confronted with new methods of modern life he eventually gets into debt heavily. When, to find a solution, he turns to his daughters and son-in-laws, he receives a very cold welcome. Through several quarrels, his authority is questioned.
