Through the testimony of people who have undertaken to look after their elderly parents, this film attempts to show how offspring experience ageing and their parents’ physical and psychic dependency, and how this dependency affects family relations. It takes a look at the support that care-givers of Alzheimer’s sufferers may find in talk groups. The film also looks at the psychological repercussions for care-givers who look after their parents until their death.
