Itchkéri Kenti

A Feature film by Florent Marcie

Produced by No man's Land

Release in France : 07/02/2007

    Synopsis

Made secretly in Chechnya during the first war, edited ten years later to bear witness to a forgotten history, Itchkéri Kenti is, in the eyes of the Chechens, a film of great symbolic value.
However, to limit its significance to Chechnya would be simplistic. In France, Europe, and Algeria, the intensity of reactions speaks for itself: each of us finds ourselves a little bit Chechen after having seen this film. Itchkéri Kenti is a film about humanity in war and resistance. It is a film that questions our memory.
